December Art Book Club

IMG_8921.JPG

Ali Leibegott’s Summer of Dead Birds is an autobiographical survival kit - a raw, hilariously jaw-dropping journey of finding compassion in life’s unexpected tragedies and difficult goodbyes. Leibegott’s novel-in-verse opens with the loss of her mother in law, followed by the unraveling of her divorce. According to Leibgott, getting on with the rest of your life means gaining introspection from watching your dying dog try to lick at a dead bird whose feathers fused to the pavement. Depression, failed intimacy, animals and moving forward.

Join us December 9th for Art Book Club, where we will close out the year with a discussion based on reorientation and moving forward after life- stopping and altering experiences. We will be crafting 2019 time-capsules, so please bring personal memorabilia to add to your sentimental time capsule as we prepare for 2020!

WHEELHOUSE POP UP SHOP

Shop and Style your look for the season!

We all want to own clothes we love; to enjoy getting dressed, and to feel confident when we leave the house. Many of us have closets full of clothes, but not many quality garments that can be paired together to create outfits that reflect who we are.

Shopping with a professional stylist, you will explore the best possible expression of you; your favorite physical assets, how you want to be seen by the world, and your personal wardrobe blocks.

Meet WHEELHOUSE:

Julia Reeser is a commercial wardrobe stylist and vintage collector. Julia has a superior instinct for dressing all body types and nudging people out of their comfort zones.

After years in the commercial advertising world, Julia has been influenced by the amount of wasted produced in the fashion industry. Combined with her love for treasure hunting and inspiration from her travels across the world, Julia’s expert eye for quality fit and texture brings smiles and excitement to everyone she dresses.

Shop WHEELHOUSE: a collection of lightly worn, high quality garments and accessories!
