Tatreez for Liberation | Embroidery Workshop

  • ICA Central 1439 El Prado (downstairs) San Diego, CA 92101 United States (map)

Join us for a special fundraiser workshop exploring Palestinian resistance through the art of tatreez, in collaboration with Books for Palestine, and Banat el Tatreez hosted at The Hill Street Country Club’s new space in Balboa Park.

This beginner-friendly workshop introduces participants to tatreez — a traditional Palestinian embroidery practice. In this 2.5-hour session, participants will create wearable pins featuring the phrase “Fuck ICE” in Arabic using traditional tatreez patterning.
