Sound + Liberation is a free live performance series that encourages conscious listening and intimate experiences with an intentional transfer of energy between the artist and their audience. Guests get up close and personal with performers and the ideas that drive their work as we explore music and sound as means to express, connect, and heal.
Since its origin as Soft U, an online concert series hosted by Libelula bookstore and livestreamed by Hill Street during the Covid Lock down of 2020, Sound + Liberation has expanded to include poetry workshops, and experimental performance. We’ve had the honor to host local, national, and international touring acts at our gallery, and produce events in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
